Digital Bible Studies allow you to type your answers to the daily Study Questions in your computer, and then print the lesson to take to class.
All English adult studies and many Spanish studies are available as PDF Files with Fillable Fields. The PDF files look exactly the same as the printed version.
Adobe Reader (PDF) files may be sent on CD or by email.
You will need the free Adobe Reader software to use PDF Files with Fillable Fields (version 7.0 or above is required in order to save files containing the answers you have typed).
Note to Macintosh users: Preview will allow you to open and view PDF files, but does not allow you to type in the fillable fields. So be sure to download Adobe Reader if you don't have it.

To use PDF studies with fillable fields:
From the Table of Contents page, hyperlinks allow you to jump to the lesson of your choice. (Your cursor will turn into a hand symbol at each hyperlink. Just click to jump to that page.)
To highlight portions of the text as you read, from the "View" menu, select "Toolbars" and then "Comment and Markup". The cursor will change to an insertion bar. Select the text you wish to highlight, and from the "Comment and Markup" toolbar, use the pull-down menu beside "Text Edits" and choose "Highlight Selected Text".
Type the answers to the daily study questions on your computer. There is a Fillable Field below each question. Just click into field to type your information.
To save your work as you go, click out of the field you are typing in and then select "Save" from the "File" menu.
There is a Print button at the end of each lesson, which will print only the pages containing that lesson.
Note: If you use a screen reader and/or desire to print out the study in a magnified type size, PDF files will not work for this purpose. You must order word-processing-format files. Contact the Joy of Living office if your computer has a different word processing software than Microsoft Word.
All English and German adult studies are available as Microsoft Word format files.
The studies in this format do not look the same as the printed studies, however, they contain all of the same material. Click here to download a sample lesson in Word format.
Microsoft Word files may be sent on CD or by email.
