Nancy Collins is the presenter of Planning & Leading a Bible Study, a training video on DVD (or view on YouTube: Part 1, Part 2, Parts 3 & 4 coming soon). She is also a Joy of Living author. A member of the Joy of Living staff, Nancy holds a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies. She has been a speaker and Bible teacher for over 30 years, ministering to both children and adults. Nancy and her husband, Charles, live in Southern California. They have 7 grown children.
Mary Depper is an assistant teaching leader for Gina Moore in El Dorado, Arkansas. Mary's lectures are part of the Nehemiah and Acts series.
Founder of Joy of Living, Doris Greig's lectures are included in the Joy of Living Lecture Series on 1 & 2 Kings and Isaiah. She is also one of the presenters on the Guidelines for Preparing a Lecture audio CD.
A graduate of South Dakota State University, Doris accepted the Lord as a young adult. She and her husband, William T. Greig II, former Chairman of the Board of Joy of Living and of Gospel Light, had 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
Joy of Living Bible Studies began when Doris was forced by ill health to stay in bed for a year. The Lord used this time of rest, thought, and prayer to start her on her writing career.
The first Joy of Living class was taught by Doris in Newhall, California in 1971; in 1973 she began a class in Glendale, California. From these humble beginnings Joy of Living has grown to include classes in nearly every state in the Union and many foreign countries.
Doris is the author of a number of Joy of Living courses and is the author of You Can Do It, Too! Opening Your Heart and Home to Share God’s Love.
Doris went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ in 2004. Click here to read the memorial tribute to Doris.
Rhonni Greig is one of several lecturers that taught with Joy of Living founder Doris Greig in a Ventura, California class. One of Rhonni's lectures is part of the Psalms of Faith series. Rhonni is Doris' daughter-in-law.
Joyce Hanson is one of several teaching leaders for a Joy of Living class in San Clemente, California. Joyce's lectures are part of the Genesis and Mark series.
Paula Huffman is an assistant teaching leader for Patti Krohn in Fresno, California. Paula's lecture is part of the Job series.
Jeanne James is one of several teaching leaders for a Joy of Living class in San Clemente, California. Jeanne's lectures are part of the Genesis, Exodus, Mark, Romans and James series.
Linda Kassner has been teaching Bible studies for over 30 years. For over ten years she taught a Joy of Living class in Niwot, Colorado. Her lectures are included in the Joy of Living Lecture Series on 2 Samuel, Isaiah, 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians.
Married for 40 years, Linda has two grown children and two granddaughters. She says, “It has been a continual joy and privilege for me to study, prepare and present God’s incredible Word to these women on a weekly basis. The Joy of Living lessons are a great blessing to me… May my lectures be used to bring blessings to others, and to glorify our Lord and Savior!” Linda retired from teaching in spring 2007 due to health problems.
Top of PagePattie Krohn is the Director of Women’s Ministries at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fresno, California, where she is also the teaching leader of a community-wide Bible study. Pattie's lectures are included in the Joy of Living Lecture Series on Job, Philippians & Colossians, and Hall of Faith.
Pattie’s passion for preaching and teaching God’s Word began when she gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ while attending high school. Immediately after her conversion, she became involved in a “student-led” Bible study group known as “The God Squad.” During her college years, and for a time thereafter, Pattie was involved in both junior high and high school ministry. She inaugurated a Youth for Christ “Mentor-Mom” ministry to teenage mothers, which became a foundation for similar ministries throughout California.
Recently God opened a door for Pattie to go to Central Asia to teach and train women who are suffering for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, where persecution is so real and fierce the name of the country cannot be divulged. Of this experience she says, “These women really know what it means to love. Their hunger for the Word is powerful. I am in awe of them and have been broken by their example.”
Pattie has been a featured speaker at special events, conferences and retreats. She and her husband, Jeff, have been married for twenty-two years. They have three daughters and one son. Of herself she says, “My desire is for God to use me to fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel (Ephesians 6:19), encouraging women to find hope in the living God by falling in love with His Word (Romans 15:4).”
Judy Matthews has been a Joy of Living teacher in Klamath Falls, Oregon, for 30 years. Her lectures are included in the Joy of Living Lecture Series on Genesis, Gospel of John, and Revelation.
A native of southern California, Judy and her husband, Joe, moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1973. They have two children and five grandchildren.
Judy longed for an in-depth Bible study program similar to the one she enjoyed when they lived in Anaheim, California. After praying for two years, she discovered Joy of Living in 1977. She also prayed diligently for a teaching leader, never thinking that God had her in mind for the job. Because there was no one else available she began lecturing to her group, which quickly grew out of a home setting into a church.
Judy is still amazed at the grace God extended to her. When she began teaching she had both a two year old and newborn baby. The children had many allergies and were often sick, but rarely on Thursday mornings during class time. In fact, over the next 30 years Judy rarely missed Bible study because of illness. Research for her lectures usually took place late at night with God giving her the strength to keep it up as the children grew.
Nothing is impossible with God. We live in an age full of deception— there are false theologies all around us. Judy's greatest joy is knowing that if we teach the truth, men and women will be able to stand up against these false ideas about God and protect their children and families against them. Judy retired from teaching in spring 2007 due to health problems.

Janice McNees taught a Joy of Living class for many years in La Crescenta, California. Her lectures are included in the Joy of Living Lecture Series on 1 & 2 Kings and Hebrews. She is one of the presenters on the Guidelines for Preparing a Lecture audio CD. She is also a Joy of Living author.
Raised in the Jewish faith in England, Janice accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Messiah during her early twenties. She has taught all ages from preschool through adults.
Althea Miller was the long-time teaching leader of Joy of Living classes in Yorba Linda, California. One of her lectures is included in the Joy of Living Lecture Series on Hebrews. She is also one of the presenters on the Guidelines for Preparing a Lecture audio CD.
One of the earliest Joy of Living teachers, Althea started teaching a women’s morning class in 1975, then an evening class for both men and women. Althea began teaching her third Joy of Living class in 1990. She continued to teach until 2000 when health problems forced her to step down from her teaching position. Althea went home to Jesus in 2004.
Gina Moore teaches a Joy of Living class in El Dorado, Arkansas. Gina's lectures are included in the Judges & Ruth, Nehemiah, Esther, Daniel, Jonah, and 1 Thessalonians series.

Sharon was born and raised in Southern California. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Sharon met the Lord Jesus when she attended her first Bible study class as a young mother. Since then she has had the joy of serving Him by teaching Bible studies, speaking at ladies’ luncheons and retreats and directing church theatre. She has also been a speaker for Christian Women’s Club and a guest on national radio.
Sharon’s lifelong love of drama led her to participate in several Southern California playhouses from 1992 to 2002 as a performer, stage manager, board member and children’s workshop leader. She enjoys combining her love for the Lord and for drama and often incorporates storytelling, oral interpretation of literature and dramatic monologues in her talks. She continues to direct drama at her home church. Sharon and her husband, Vic, have two adult children.
Jennifer Sleek-Klevdal teaches a Joy of Living class at Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, Colorado. Her lectures are part of the Ecclesiastes series. Jennifer is available for speaking engagements.
