Placing an order on our website:
Orders placed through our website are processed through PayPal. You will see their logo on the Shopping Cart page and when you check out. However, you do not need a PayPal account to order from our website.
- Click "Add to Cart" for each item you wish to order. This will take you to the shopping cart window.
- To remove an item from the cart, check the box beside it in the "Remove" column, then click the "Update Cart" button.
- To change the quantity for an item, type the new quantity in the box in the "Quantity" column, then click the "Update Cart" button.
- To continue shopping (return to Joy of Living website pages), click the "Continue shopping" button, or just close the Shopping Cart window to view the Joy of Living website page.
- To view the items in your cart or to check out while viewing a Joy of Living website page, click "View Cart" button at left.
Paying for your website order:
Orders placed on our website must be paid for by credit card or by Paypal account. If you prefer to be invoiced for your order, please order by another method.
- From the Shopping Cart page, click "Proceed to checkout."
- The subtotal for your items will show in a light blue box at the top of the page. If you ordered more than one item, click the blue triangle below the box to see a detailed list of items ordered.
- To see the total charge for your order including sales tax (to California addresses) and shipping, click "calculate total order amount." (Note: For website orders shipping outside the U.S.)
- You may pay for your order with a credit card or with a Paypal account:
- To pay by credit card, click the link "Continue" at the lower left side of the Checkout window following, "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available)."
- To pay by PayPal account, log in to PayPal in the box at lower right.
Shipping address and shipping method:
If you are paying for your order by credit card, PayPal will only accept a shipping address that matches the credit card billing address.
- To ship to a different address than your credit card billing address, click the link, "Add special instructions to seller," and type ship-to address in the box.
Website orders are normally shipped within one business day after we receive them. They will be shipped by UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail, whichever is less expensive.
- If you need your order to arrive by a particular date and think it may require rush shipping, please call us to place the order.
Shipping charges for website orders
Because these orders are prepaid at the time you place the order—before we package and weigh them—shipping is charged as a percentage of the total order amount (no freight is charged on emailed items):
- From $.01 to $9.99 = 50%
- From $10.00 to $19.99 = 40%
- From $20.00 to $29.99 = 25%
- From $30.00 to $89.99 = 17%
- From $90.00 and up = $10%
If you prefer to pay the actual shipping charge, rather than a charge based on a percentage of your order amount, please place your order by telephone, email or postal mail.

- When you complete your website order, you will receive an immediate, automated confirmation email from "service @paypal.com" with the subject, "Receipt for your Payment to Joy of Living Bible Studies".
- Joy of Living will also send an email confirmation to you within one business day. If you do not receive the Joy of Living confirmation email, please contact us to make certain the order was received.
